Bethel Healing Rooms Associate Director, Chuck Parry, has been experimenting with joy and the power to overcome depression and has been seeing dozens and dozens of people getting set free. Every year, Chuck wonders what the fullness of joy could be like. A second-year student struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts had a dream of Chuck coming to him and pulling a huge knife out of his head. The next day Chuck placed his hands on the student's head, and he has been set free and filled with joy for over a year. A woman visiting the Healing Rooms shared with Chuck a testimony about another time when he had prayed for her. She told Chuck she had been bipolar all her life and was drawn to the joy she saw in him and had asked him to pray for her. But she could not stop talking about all the things she had been through. At the time she was offended because he had motioned for her to stop. Then he said, "he was rewiring her brain." She felt electricity go through her brain and knew she was healed, then fell down on the floor laughing uncontrollably. She went back home, and the doctors said she was thinking differently. She is off all meds. She went on a mission trip to Africa. She had experienced terror all her life and for the past three years, she has been filled with joy. Even going through a recent and painful divorce, it has not been able to push her over the edge and she has remained healthy. He had another experience where he put his hand on someone as he passed him in the Healing Rooms, and he heard a thud, and the person was on the floor rolling around laughing. His intake form said "depression" on it. Recently, he was sharing that testimony from a microphone at the Healing Rooms, and a two-year-old boy in front of him started walking around like he was drunk and fell on the floor laughing. A while later his mother walked by holding him and he was smiling. She said, "He can't stop smiling. He is two years old, and he has never laughed or smiled in his whole life." He got completely set free just hearing that testimony. The past three times Chuck was in Europe, he felt a wave of joy coming upon the assembly that would set people free from depression. He had people who were experiencing night terrors, suicidal thoughts, depression, etc., and had them put their hands on their heads, count to 3, and then all together explode it off as a prophetic act. He has been getting e-mails ever since from people saying they are thinking differently, and have peace and joy and a sense of wellbeing.
