About Foster Shasta

Foster Shasta is a ministry of Bethel dedicated to:

  • Building community among local resource/foster and adoptive families.
  • Supporting resource/foster families in practical ways.
  • Encouraging & strengthening resource/foster & adoptive families spiritually.
  • Promoting awareness of the need for more resource/foster families in Shasta County.

Through prayer, prophetic gatherings, awareness nights, support groups, and educational resources, Foster Shasta offers foster and adopting families with connection, and encouragement on their journey to navigate the joys and challenges of foster care and adoption. We are creating a culture of love, acceptance, and honor for our foster and adoptive families and the steps of faith they take to love our most vulnerable children.

Twice a Month Foster Shasta Small Group

We are building a community to provide practical, emotional, and spiritual support to increase sustainability, longevity, and quality of life for our active resource/foster families. Twice a month we gather in a small group setting for fellowship, support, friendship, and helpful information. Early Years Ministry is provided during the gatherings so parents can engage freely without distraction.

How Can I Volunteer?

We are so glad you are considering joining our team! As a Foster Shasta volunteer you will:

  • Join with others who are working to restore broken families.
  • Activate the power of community - we can do more together.
  • Experience the satisfaction of being part of something greater than yourself to make a difference in the world.
  • Connect with people who have similar passion and call.

Those who foster and adopt face many joys and challenges. You can contribute to their success and impact their quality of life by coming alongside with practical support.
