I wanted to let you know that the Lord healed me of kidney disease through prayer at Bethel. I came for prayer on Saturday in the Healing Rooms on August 15, 2017. I needed prayer for several things. I broke my ankle in May 2017. It was very badly broken, and I needed surgery to put a plate and screws. I had pain and limited use in my right shoulder, and pain in my right hip. The biggest concern was that I had chronic kidney disease (CKD). I will have to backtrack a little with the kidney disease. Around 2014 I had some routine testing done with blood work. A doctor in San Francisco told me that my kidneys were only functioning at 75% because of chronic, untreated hypertension. I am a positive person and said, "They will get better."
He said, "They will not; kidneys don't get better." He put me on blood pressure medication and told me to reduce stress. He never explained the seriousness of my kidneys or showed me the test results, but he appeared to think it was serious. I was going through a very difficult trial at the time, which lasted for several years. It was extreme spiritual warfare. What the doctor told me went over my head because of his not telling me a diagnosis, and I had too much to deal with at the time.
Fast forward to 2017. My husband and I now live in Montgomery Creek. I broke my ankle in May. To do surgery, they ran tests. In the bloodwork, I saw an area that covered kidney function. My kidneys showed 3rd stage kidney disease. It was at the upper level of the 3rd stage, but still, it was CKD. I understand that 75% function is 2nd stage. When I saw this, I understood what the first doctor meant about my kidneys. Knowing that they declined over time to dialysis and then transplant, I needed prayer and a miracle. I went for prayer. It took time to get my medical cards and a clinic here to be rechecked, but I was finally tested in November. In this test, my kidneys are functioning normally. I do not have kidney disease. My ankle is continuing to heal nicely; my hip and shoulder pain is gone.
