Deployment to Los Angeles Fires

Jan 7, 2025
BGR Initiative

On January 7, 2025 Los Angeles was ignited in flames in several significant locations, from the Palisades Fire, Eaton Fire, and Hurst Fire. With severe winds up to 100 mph, the situation has remained widespread, devastating both land, structures, and homes.

On January 8, 2025 Bethel Global Response deployed a team to Pasadena to help the community affected by the Eaton fire in Altadena. In partnership with Vintage Church in Pasadena, Bethel Global Response will support the church and community in assessing and facilitating ash-outs for individuals who have lost their homes. As the situation continues to unfold, further plans may develop. God cares for the brokenhearted and has a plan to care for his children in the midst of crises.

We want to invite you to partner with Bethel Global Response in providing prayer and practical aid, along with the hope of Jesus for those affected by the fires in Los Angeles.

Below are a few ways you can pray and support:

Pray:

  • Pray for the fires to cease and for the winds to die down immediately
  • Many have been left without housing and in the midst of great loss, pray for resources, housing, and the comfort of God for those affected.
  • Firefighters and first responders have been tirelessly working around the clock for over 48 hours, pray for strength, safety, and rest.
  • City leaders and governmental officials are struck with extremely challenging circumstances and pray they will have wisdom as they navigate the situation.
