CHANGED is both a movement and a ministry led by Bethel pastors Elizabeth Woning and Ken Williams, who both left behind LGBTQ and married opposite sex spouses almost two decades ago. As they began working together in 2016 to equip Bethel and other churches to navigate LGBTQ, California proposed new legislation that would have stolen freedoms of religion and conscience from those seeking to follow their faith convictions on matters of sexuality. Ken and Elizabeth testified against that legislation (which later was withdrawn), sparking what is known today as the CHANGED Movement—thousands of men and women journeying away from LGBTQ in greater pursuit of Jesus.
Today, CHANGED is focused on equipping the Church to sensitively serve those impacted by LGBTQ, ministering to individuals who are requesting help with matters of sexuality/identity, and engaging culture where sexual orientation and gender identity policies threaten Christian influence.
